I was trying to get through a stop light last night and was in 4th and normally my truck doesn't down shift if I stomp on it above 1800 rpms. Well it did and felt really bad. It slammed 3rd very hard, is normal with trucks running big tunes? I'm only running a PPE 225 tune.
TIA,
Eric

I have not had this happen and I am running the 225 tune also. I have a transgo jr. installed though and transynd fluid. Also, I try not to floor it and ease it on which is not always easy.

If it stars becoming a regular thing, then I'd worry. sometimes conditions create an iregular occurence, or there is a minor temporary glitch. Don't worry too much unless it starts happening all the time.

Thanks fellas, I normally always ease into it, but not this time. I'll keep and eye on it, the good news is the 03 Cobra I was messing around with was very surprised to see my big ass truck right next to him through 4th. Ciao.

Well I hope what I am about to post doesn't have something to do with my first post. Tonight I noticed something while cruising without the radio on, when my truck shifts into 4th under very light throttle (almost no pedal) I get a tick coming from the tunnel area. It happens directly on the 3-4 shift. Any ideas or has anyone else noticed their truck making this noise? Mike L. if you're out there I would love to hear your thoughts on this.
Thanks,
Eric

To clarify the "tick" it is definitely a metallic tick or tap and you have to listen for it to hear it.

Why don't you bring it by and we can listen to it. Pinpointing a noise is tuff sometimes and right now I have no ideas.

Thanks Mike, I didn't realize you replied to this thread. I will have to do that, I've been wanting to stop by your shop.
