This may sound Mickey mouse, but I ordered a GTech pro windshield mount, took a heat gun to it and stuffed my attitude in there. Works pretty good so far.

Snowho sells the mount. E-mail him apdieselperformance@msn.com. They're <$50. I'm probably going to order tomorrow...

Afternoon Members,

We have the A pillars (full length ones only) in both the "no" speaker/tweeters and speaker designs, we also have the matching spray paints and primers for them to color match them to the interior colors. The fit great and don't require you to drill any holes or use any double stick tape etc like some of the shorty pillars out there. Give me a call at the office and we'll get one shipped ASAP, 866-455-7788.

Dontcross, I will free up some space on the digital cam, gotta run by my wife what I can delete, then I'll post them. It wasbasically just heating up the back supports and bending them to fit the attitude. I'll get to it as soon as I can.

WOW!! I installed the full pillar mount today. It looks GREAT! Fits right over the stock a-pillar for easy removal, but looks factory when installed. I'll post pics soon!! Thanks, Aaron (www.apdieselperformance.com)!

I got my A-pillar mount, primer, and paint from DPPI. Fast delivery. A little grinding on the bottom to allow the tweeter hole to line up right. Looks great, and I prefer this location instead of looking up at the overhead console.

lovette,

We get a lot of comments on it as it is just plain easy to see as compared to anywhere else in the truck, plus installation is real easy and removal is quick and leaves no trace of being there either!! Enjoy it.

I have a quick question. This A-Pillar mount comes with 2 plugs so you can fill the holes it says to drill to hold the mount to the OEM A-Pillar. Do I really need to do this? I'm hoping by what I am hearing in all your posts, that this will just stay in place without it.

TIA,
Jeff

Mine holds itself in place without drilling, clips or velcro. Your not far away from me. If you wanna check it out, let me know. Also, if you have the graphite interior, I got the primer and paint for ya!

:cool2: ...thanks Salmonbun! If I have any problems, I'll get a hold of ya! I've got the dark pewter interior so I won't be able to use your paints. I ordered some primer and paint from DPPI yesterday. But I sure do appreciate the offer! My biggest worry was having to drill holes in the stock a-pillar to hold it in place.

I hope you didn't make the mistake I did!

On the window sticker I have "Dark Pewter" interior, which is leather. That color is actually "Graphite". The Dark Pewter in cloth is kinda tan, so if you ordered dark pewter for leather, it won't match. I had to call Mark back and get the Graphite. I remember all this when I got my truck. The 02' Z71 That my GF drove had cloth that was labled "graphite". I wanted the same color in Leather, which ended up being "Dark Pewter". Anyway, if this is the case and there is a paint mix-up, the offer still stands for the paint.

Censored !!! I hope that isn't the case! I looked at my window sticker and it said Dark Pewter cloth interior. The dash is a dark gray color. Is the Graphite a dark gray? If I ordered the wrong paint, I'm going to be so bummed! If that ends up what I did, I'll take you up on your offer!

Yea, mine is a Dark grey color. The dash matched the 'ol ladies '02 that was Graphite. When I got the can of Dark Pewter paint, it was way too light.

CrazyDaze,

No holes required, the NEW designs we worked with Gauge Works on to get the Attitude mounts for the GM, Ford and Dodge built. The GM has an extra lip on it that grips the factory A pillar and lets it just hold itself thru tension. Works great and fits excellent. They are available with or without the speaker hole too! The A pillar mount is much easier to see and use while driving as compared to the overhead mount that requires you to remove your eyes from the road etc. We have the matching color paints too, but as was mentioned you have to KNOW which color you have as the GM designations are a little misleading etc.
