I HAVE LEATHER POWER AND RECLINER SEATS IN MY 2002 GMC CREW . THEY WOULD NOT WORK AND I CHECKED THE 25 AMP. BREAKER AND IT WAS SO HOT IT BURNT MY FINGER AND THUMB TRYING TO TAKE IT OUT . GOT IT OUT COOLED IT DOWN AND REINSTALLED . ALL FUNCTIONS WORKED ON BOTH SEATS BUT GOT REAL HOT AND KICKED OUT AGAIN . I TOOK BEAKER OUT AND REPLACED WITH ANOTHER AND IT DID THE SAME THING . I REMOVED THE BREAKER AND NOW I AM ASKING YOU ALL . WHAT SHOULD I CHECK OR DO . THANKS:cool:

Start looking for a short.

IT could also be one of the switches stuck. Check all the functions back forward, up down etc and make sure they all work on both the driver and passenger seat.

Pull the threshold moulding and kick panel to trace the power seat wires up to where they are probably chafing on the e-brake mechanism (seen this alot) Stuck switch will generally make the seats move when the breaker is "on" (unless the motor is bad too)
