I added a Kennedy Diesel headlight booster kit to the LLY truck today. I have had one on my LB7 for a long time now, it has worked great. I really like the headlight setup on the 05 but I wanted to have all four on for the brights.

Here are some photos of how and where I installed mine, it may make things easier for someone else looking to do the install. I pulled the airbox out to do the job, it made things really easy. Here is the location where I chose to mount the relays, there are a couple of holes I took advantage of on the stock supports.

A view a bit further back:

Using some aircraft aluminum alloy flat stock I fabbed up a bracket to mount the relays:

A couple of push fasteners complete the bracket/relay mounting:

Once the airbox goes back in it makes for a nice stealthy install and no drilling on the truck!

With all four on the light output rocks! :ro)

Brandon, That is one ingenious setup. Almost makes you think GM originally designed it for that purpose, huh?

Note to John...start including a bracket and pushpins in his light kits. Give Brandon the royalties. :ro)

Nice touch with the relays. Nice pics, how do you post pics this big? I always get file sizes too large.

The photos are hosted on my website, I just linked to them. It gets you past the restrictions because the images are not stored on the forum.

Nice job Brandon. I'll be looking to add a couple of the pics to the install options on my site. Your 4 light hi-beam plug should be coming really soon. Latest design couples the unused OEM plugs making it REALLT slick. So you will then have all 4 lamps with max voltage to the lights for the ultimate performance!

Thanks Brandon! Great idea! Here is a pic of my install with the mega fuel filter installed on my 2005http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/images/smilies/cool.gif http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/images/smilies/cool.gif http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/images/smilies/cool.gif
I made my relay mounting bar from 12ga x 1" 304 SS bar stock.

You can barely see the relay mounting bar here! You can see the blue relay through the hole.

With plenty of space to access the mega filter bleed screw....
