I was fueling up today at shell and the pump was working ever so slow. I decided to go in and ask why. The girl replied to me that the tank was just about out. With that I ran out the door and ripped the pump out of my truck. At that time i had about 7 bucks in fuel, or so I thought. Driving along and the motor started acting up. Probably 7 bucks in water. Stoped at the nearest auto parts store and put water zorb in with a fresh tank of fuel. Seems to be fine. Just wanted to let everyone know when the pump works slow get out of there.

Pump will slow down so that it is pumping about 2 or 3 cents a second. I know seems slow but when it happens to you, you will know... Just goes REAL REAL slow...

In all my travels around the U.S. and Canada I`ve found pumps that are just slow for reasons other than water. I carry a 3 gal.plastic fuel can along and if I`m in doubt, I put some in the can and take a look at it. If it`s good, I put it in the tank. I haven`t found any with water are sediment, etc. yet, but if I do I`m going to take it in and show it to the attendant and then----! 95 percent of the time though I stop at a truck stop where a lot of the big rigs are getting fuel.

I always get my fuel from a local truck stop, hopefully the higher fuel volume will produce cleaner fuel. Also, I never fill up if the tanker is there putting fuel in the underground tanks, it stirs up all the dirt on the bottom.

Mobil station by me has filters on his pumps. When a pump starts going slow it's time to change the filter.

What's worse than that (tank running dry) is to get fuel during or right after they fill the holding tanks, that's says disaster!
