I would like to push my truck to 500 hp as easily and inexpensively as possible. I want it to be possible to remain a daily driver as well. Any ideas would be appreciated.

EFI Live or PPE will get you to 500 hp easily and relatively inexpensively.

For a little while.

If you want 500 hp and want your truck to last, you will need exhaust, gauges, tuning and a tranny at minimum. Much over that and you need to look at rods, headstuds, keyed cam, etc...

x2 I agree with that, especially the tranny, the stock won't will not make it at that for very long if at all. I'm curious about the keyed cam you mentioned, what does that do?

TheBac:

Made 498 hp on a trans, exhaust and PPE tuner.

Runs 12.9's. Drives it every day.

Heck, I just noticed that Eric is on here.

My advice is to ask him and follow that advice to the letter...

Exactly what he said plus exhaust, intake and tie rod sleeves, idler, pitman arm supports and center link brace if you want to keep your front end together for long.
