Does anyone elses fuel gauge drop like a rock. It goes to empty (no light on yet) but it says E and it will only hold 20-21 gallons. So I still have 5 gallons or more left but it is just a mental thing that my gauge says E, I feel like I need to go find a station to fill it. Is there anyway to change how fast it reacts.

I just preferred my 03 when it said E the light came on within 10 miles and then I had 30 miles left when the light came on. It is just a mental thing of seeing it on Empty when there is still 5 gallons of fuel left.

Better to be safe than sorry. My gauge also does this. It beats running out of fuel, and having to get towed and prime the fuel system, and the rest of the good stuff that comes with sucking up the sediment in the tank.

Better than mine - the light comes on when it hits E and it has about a gallon left in it. I'd prefer the light to come on when its at about 4gallons left.

Sure, when the light comes on and the gauge drops below "e," drive 30 more miles....then fill up. :)
