As I lay under my truck soaked in diesel I ponder the cost savings of this tank.
On a scale of 1-10 for the ease of install I give it a 3 and Im not done yet.
They say to remove the fuel lines from the brackets and you can then move them freely to make the cut. They dont tell you where exactly to cut you have to guess.
The place they want me to make the cut (deduced from pictures) is under the front module thingy between the frame and the bracket. There is NO WAY to get the tubes out to cut them.
So at this point I wish I would I had bought the transfer flow and had a pro do the install.
Does anyone detect a hint of frustration in my type?

PC, if things aren't going well walk away for a bit. I find this is the best way to deal with something when it is not going well.

Thanks...
And an update.
I grabbed my dremil and a cutter blade. Started cutting blind with deisel splashing and sparks sparking.
Fire extingusher near by the whole time. Got them cut and pulled short pieces over frame and cut them with micro tubing cutter nice and clean.
Making some progress now.
BUT the 2 hour install the paperwork stated is LAUGHABLE!
My guess (doing it by my self laying under the truck) is 12-15 hours.
Im old enough and wise enough to remember "a deal" is something no one else wanted.
I guess my brain had an injector failure. :)

Update 3
New fuel lines full of black gritty sand like grinding stuff.
Had to power wash them and blast with compressor.
Im setting up a LIVE WEB CAM so you guys can sit back and watch me struggle........

UUUGGHHHHH
The one fuel line from the cat filter is too short. The hump in the tank is pushing it up and thats it.
Need to run to autozone real quick....
I gave up on the install .......
Im gonna let my wife do it....Here she is under the truck

Would I be wrong in saying that everyone here were holding their breath hoping you didn't run into a snag?
Honest to gosh, PC, you have the absolute worst luck on this planet.
A good piece of advise is what Max said, just walk away from it, wait a while to calm down, then come back with a fresh outlook. With your temper, you HAVE to learn to say "enough already".....
Why not ask the people here who have already installed one of these tanks a constructive question about the confusing directions, like where did they cut their lines, did they use any special tools, did they have to do anything special to fit it, etc etc.....
Sorry,
Tom

Thanks for sharing the installation nightmare. I almost purchased one of these, was waiting to see how you made out with your installation. I am glad I didn't buy one now.
Thanks,
Tim
