: What kind of smoke is normal?

I am still thinking I have a IP or injector problem but was just wondering what kind of tailpipe vapors are normal. When I start my truck in the mornings now I get some puffs of white/blueish smoke which will follow the glow plug light pulses. When things smooth out after a few seconds I get a white vapor like a gasser would. After 10-15 mins. Idling I take off down the rode and get the thicker smoke again but it does not leave a trail. The smoke disperses behind the truck like vapor in the exhaust. This will last until I am up to 50mph then it is all done. Does this all sound normal?

Does the smoke smell sweet? Are you losing coolant?

Doesn't sound like smoke to me at all, more like exhaust vapors, how cold is it where you are?

Sounds like it's vapor from it being cold. You might get a bit of white smoke from a cold weather start especially if your glow plugs are going south but sounds ok to me.
