Not sure what I got my self into, but I purchased a do-it yourself remote starter for my D-max and I was wondering if anyone had the wiring diagram for the ignition or the best way to go about getting it. Thanks for any help.

Do you have a passlock bypass module. Remote starts are not really DIY items unless you have really good tech support and understand electrical.

All these wires are under steering column
Battery wires are Red and red/white
Ignition is Pink
Accy is Orange
2nd Accy is Brown
Starter is Yellow
Horn is Black/yellow

Brake is white at brake switch

Park lights is grey/black at headlight switch (negative trigger)

Tach is white behing instrument cluster

Glow plugs is blue behind instrument cluster

Passlock wires are
Common - black
R-code - yellow

Do yourself a favor and solder all the wires and also test with a Digital multi meter NOT A TEST LIGHT

Your truck is equipped with a passlock security system. You need a passlock bypass module on top of the remote starter itself. I recommend a data bypass module but most people sell resistor type bypasses so I included the wires needed for a resistor type bypass just in case. By the sounds of it you don't have any bypass at all so you need to get one.
