my dad just hit a deer with his 2001 d-max, i wasnt sure where to post this but... isnt the 2004 gmc front end (bumper, grill) interchangable to the 2001? If he got an 2004 grill and bumper he could keep the same hood and fenders and headlights correct?? would all the bumper mounts and grill sttatchments be the same? thanks for the info.:ro)

I think hood and fenders were changed somewhere around 2002 check part numbers to be sure first. You can however change the whole front clip and that should work as the cab went unchanged.

Im about 98% sure that the hood and front fenders are the same as for mounting points for the bumper and grill not sure , BUT i wouldnt dout it if they were the same call gm parts im sure they could tell you. good luck
