maybe this is a dumb question but In the front of these trucks all i see is a shock, but no springs or anything. how does that work? i though shocks were to slow down the extension/compression of the spring to keep it from bouncing and stuff. Do the torsion bars have anything to with that stuff? I was also thinking, what would happen if you bought an after market shock that was say like 2 inches longer or something like that, and put that on inplace of the stock one to increse front ride height? would it screw up driveline angles, camber, alignment, and all that? thanks in advance for responses, just trying to know my truck better.

These trucks are ifs wich eliminates any kind of front springs..the torsion bars act as a spring..adding taller shocks will not sit your truck any higher..you can crank the torsion bars a little bit to get a little more ride height but your truck will ride stiffer and if you go to far you can wear your tires uneven.
