There are two hood contact adjusters on my 2002 on the right and left front on top of the cooling stack top support. They are threaded with a rubber head on them. You might try turning them out a little and see what happens. I put nuts on mine so I could lock them in place. They vibrated out of adjustment before.

Polarbear, my hood did the same thing. I had one of those hood/bugdeflectors on my truck, so i took it off, and I havent seen it happening anymore. If you have a bugdeflector on your truck, it could be the cause? Just my .02 !!

Think keepinit is correct. If the rubber hood adjusters are not making contact with the hood while it's closed you will get a lot of hood movement from a passing or passed tractor trailer rig. Adjust them up so that you have a few pounds of positive pressure on them when hood closed.
