I am having a Suncoast Stage 3 install in a couple of weeks and I'm curious as to whether or not the Six Gun will stll defuel bigtime as it does now or will it stop when the tranny upgrade is installed? Anybody out there that has had a tranny upgrade with the six gun have any info.

Dont Personally Have Tranny Upgrades...yet,but From What Ive Learned So Far Tranny Upgrades Will Reduce Slippage Making The Defuel Thing No Longer...should Get Full Results From Banks Kit

It will still defuel on shifts and in fifth 98% sure, after the upgrade your tranny won't slip so you won't have to worry about the banks defueling do to slip detection, I pmed COLIN BANKS and PETERT of banks last week about bypassing the safety crap including unhooking the two wires to the tcm so the tuner would not know when to defuel, no answer yet will give it another week I hope that it can be bypassed I really think that this holds the banks back. my transmission will be done over x-mas SuncoastIII with TTS convertor and I will know more then.

The defueling should still happen, even with a tranny upgrade. This defuel programming is the reason the 6-Gun gives you these hp/tq gains without limping the tranny. I also believe that if you run the speedloader and unhook the TCM wires, you will get an error code on the Gun.

This is one of the questions I have been waiting to get answered from the banks guys. I'll give the banks people some more time to contact me so expect a post on this topic.

I never thought of the manual tranny not needing the TCM wires. Keep us posted on what you find out.
