1st post, Great site!

I recently put a Magnaflow Pro 5" exhaust on my 06 Duramax. It is a turbo back kit with no cat, but still has a muffler. I was wondering if anyone else is runnning a 5" exhaust with no cat or muffler? How much louder does it get with no muffler? I would recommend this kit to anyone. Everything fit nice and is not rubbing on anything. Thanks.

i have 5" no cat no muff. cruising it just sounds dang good. not too overly loud but you can juuuust hear it. pedal to the metal its loud. my dad said he heard me once when i left the house and he was almost 2 miles away in his sisters yard. under a bridge is ridiculous too

5 Inch straight here. Mine has been described as sounding like a pulling tractor. IMHO it sounds dam good!!

On my buddies truck, we went from a full 5" with muffler to a 5" stack/no muffler. It actually sounds the same. In cab drone is even a little less. When you're on it it's pretty loud though.

Thanks for the replies. I want to remove the muffler for sure. Does anybody know where I can buy a short piece of 5" stainless? It's pretty expensive, and I wouldn't want to buy a whole 10' foot stick. I would only need about 2' piece. Thanks.

MBRP have 5" muffler delete pipes, I think they're pretty reasonable.
