So, will the 4.5/6L90 go into the Zeta platform passenger cars? It sure
seems like an obvious application.

They said that the 4.5L can be used in the same application as current small blocks, so for a very basic answer, yes. Although Zeta has flip flopped quite a bit of times. Whether we actually see the 4.5L replacing an LS2 or whatever they will be using at the time, we will just have to wait and see.

it was in buick enclaves pre-production last year for press test drives. seems like a good match

I doubt you'll see it in any passenger cars, maybe in some crossovers though.

I doubt GM would put anything bigger than a ~3.5L in a car. Unless of course MB brings over their 4.3L V8 CDI and it sells like hotcakes.

I'd love to see it in a Colorado/Canyon or H3...... actually the GMC Canyon and H3 will be getting the 5.3 V8 so the 4.5 would be a slam dunk :D

H-3 would be a great match with the 4.5L duramax....I would consider one then...but now the H-3 is under powered

that would be sweet, but you think the h3 with the 5.3 v8 is underpowered???? i think that will be a sweet setup. same goes for the colorado since it will be getting the 5.3 soon.

Yeah, that would be cool if they put them in to the Zeta's. Do you think that it might become a bit more likely if Congress decides to raise fuel mileage standards even higher? One other thing that I am curious about is how much does the 4.5 weigh?

H3alphas already have the 5.3. So far it looks like only the h2 will get the 4.5. I would buy an enclave with on as soon as it was available, those things are smoking.
