I've been using wix since christ was a corporal ):h Well, maybe not quite that long....Anyway, the part number for a wix filter will be 57202....(or if you're going with a napa filter, which is also a wix, that part number would be 7202)
I have yet to have a problem with them......

I have actually heard that Wix was about the best filter on the market, but I could never find a dealer around here..until now. The new Oreilly's that just opened carries Wix filters and also Rotella oil... woohoo!!

They're very good filters according to studies. I use them or the AC Delco.

I use wix or AC and always have because that's what my local shop stocks. Have a very close friend who is a diesel mech and also is Transportation Manager for a large fleet.. He told me wix, fleetguard, and AC are the best. Also said stay away from baldwin, donaldson, and fram.
THIS IS WHAT HE TOLD ME. I WELCOME ALL OPINIONS

Actually, baldwin makes a very good filter as well......If you have some extra cash laying around, buy one of each brand and cut them open for yourself.....Look at how many pleats each one has....check to see what the anti-drainback valve is made of (silicone or rubber) Make sure it HAS an anti-drainback valve, of course.....you may also want to see if a bypass vavle is present (what this does is allow oil to continue to flow through the engine if the filter becomes clogged) I have a filter cut apart at work, showing each component of the filter and its function....I'll take a few pics and post on monday....
