Im hooking up my winch as I type this. The warn wire kit comes with 1 wire set for front mount and 1 optional wire set for back hook up ( I bought the multi mount winch). It also comes with a solenoid. Can I run the positive from both batteries to the one side of the solenoid and then negative cables from each battery to front/back winch hook ups?

Would my electrical system have a problem charging the batteries if I hook both positives to the solenoid?

You could, but I don't really see any advantage to doing it that way.

What is your main objective of doing this? Your batteries are hooked in parellel. So you could run the + power wire from one battery to the solonoid then from the solonoid to the front and the back. Then you could run the ground from one battery to the front and the ground from the other battery to the back. You don't have to take both + and - off of one battery or the other or both. I hope that makes sense. :confused:

hey PC i got a good idea save yourself the trouble and go buy a chain saw winch, then send me that fancy warn winch.
