Andy01 12-10-2004, 10:38 PM I can't seem to figure out what the difference is between 1 and 2. Both descriptions read the same. Can anybody help me out here? I see there is a price difference. A friend of mine is saying to just buy the stage 1. Thank you for the help in advance. Andy GMC2500HD 12-10-2004, 10:43 PM The AFE1 is the intake and filter only. The AFE2 is the complete system, the intake, filter and intake tube. It removes the resinator off the top of the motor. Trust me there is a thread on here you need to read about filters and intakes... You will wind up saving your money for something else instead... Just like I said, read that thread on the Air Filter study.. You will be amazed... Grab something to drink and use the restroom first... The turbo sounds cool but I ran identical hight 13 passes in the 1/4 mile with a stock intae and a stage 2 afe intake. Did i mention the AFE sounds cool though? The AFE sound cool..........looks cool....... It is supposed to make more HP and I know of dyno numbers that prove it out...... I could think of other things to spend my $$$$ on rather than an AFE STage I or II intake........ T:cool: NY ratlover 12-14-2004, 08:50 AM If you want to drop some $$$ for more noise then you wont be disapointed. They dont filter as well but depending were you live you should probably be ok. I would run the progaurd and a sock. I also remember seeing someone at PRI(I think volant maybe?) with an intake(plastic tube) and they used a dual stage filter too. It was a red filter and the back was white. | ||
