Now that I may be getting a lift on my truck, I will need to be adding some steps on it. My girlfriend already complains about having to jump in. Do any of you use the n-fab bars? Do they bolt to the frame, or what? It looked like they bolt to the body itself. I really like the way they look, and just wanted to get your opinions. Thanks!

I use to have those on my previous truck. Very well built and they will hold a ton without giving.. There are 6 bolts on each side and they just bolt right up to the body of the truck. Very easy installation and in about 30 mins you are in business...Good luck

Thanks for the pics and post, I think I will go with these for sure. They look even better in the pics you posted. You never have any problems with them cracking the body or anything since they are bolted directly to it, do you?

No I never had any issues with them moving or cracking the body. They are supported under the truck as well. They have an L type bracket that when you attach them to the truck they bracket will seat itself up against the under side of the body. You should have no problems... good luck..

By bolting to the body, you mean the body mount bolts, or to actual sheetmetal. Most steps bolt to the body mount bolts, which go through a frame piece, so they are plenty strong. If they were sheetmetal mounted like old man style running boards I wouldn't trust them as much.

They bolt thru the pinch weld and also have kicker braces that go up to the floor....I bolted mine at the pinch weld and also thru the floor...can actually jack the truck up by them...very stout.

I have N-fabs also. Had them painted to match and with the wider tires it tends to chip the front side of the steps.

Good steps though and sturdy.
