I pulled into my yard tonight after I was done hauling railroad ties in my 18 ft. gooseneck dump trailer. When I was finished, I loaded up my bobcat and went home. When I got there, I unloaded the bobcat, parked it, and was planning on moving the trailer to its spot in my yard. When I pulled forward, the light for the gear selector was not lighting up, the service engine light was on, and I was not able to drive forward very easily without giving it a lot of pedal. When I moved from neutral to drive, it slammed in a lot harder than it ever did. Reverse seems to work fine, but my forward gears are very weak. I pulled it in the shop, hooked up the code reader and it only gave me a P0700 TCM Malfunction.

What could have happened?

I know this transmission has been limped once, but I have been pretty easy on it ever since because I cannot afford the transmission upgrade that I want.

Thanks for the help!!!!

I'd guess at a bad NSBU switch since the display dissappeared also. Only a guess at where to start.

Found the problem. The lower plug in on my transmission must have gotten unplugged by a tall weed or something while I was turning the trailer around.

Plugged it back in and solved the problem.

Maybe I should go into the tranny business..... maybe not.

Thanks for the help any way guys. It is great to have the knowledge of all of the experts on this site. I always ask here before I go to the dealer or to the shop because everyone is usually polite and ready to help.

Thanks again!

Was turning around near a slough in my pasture.... not thinking the good old craftsman could get through my pasture.

Thanks for the tip.
