Where can I find "How To Instructions" to install pyrometer in manifold for first generation Duramax. Can anyone please post a link. Someone told me there was information that I could download that had installation and pictures on tapping in the manifold for the pyrometer. I have an '04 with an engine code 1.

David it's really more than adequate to use the "T" in the turbo waste gate hose. The reading will be within 1 psi or so and is the easiest way to go.

I think hoot is being modest, he welded a bung on the intake manifold. Even though he is correct on the waste gate hose, the welded bung looks trick. They should be in his 2001 Duramax pics and info. Just sift through all the pics until you find it. Hope it helps.
