I finally decided to go ahead and order it today. 05 sierra w/ sunroof d/a cc short bed carbon metallic and all the goodies except for dvd and snow plow package. I have been hovering around on the forum for a few months and I must say this is the most informative and productive forum with the most knowledgeable people posting I have ever seen.
I decided on a GMC after driving a f-250 and a dodge. The GMC was by far the best truck out of the group. In my opinion the f-250 shifted too fast and felt like a school bus and the dodge's seat felt like a park bench. I currently drive a toyota and have gotten 140,000 problem free miles out of it. Great SUV and hard to give up but I need better mpg towing. Anyways, just wanted to say hello to everybody.

Let me be the first to welcome you! You're right - there are alot of knowledgeable people hanging around here and not alot of B/S goes on.

Funny, I too felt the Ford was like driving a school bus. I drove two different Excursions, on two different days, and just couldn't bring myself to buying one. I really wanted something to replace our Denali XL, but I'm going to keep it and I have a CC LB on order to do the towing, and I'll just throw a shell and a bedrug in the back. Plus where was the power? I didn't really want to thrash on a truck I may actually buy, but I was less than impressed with the 6.0.

I would have tried the Dodge again, as I love the Cummins, but DC missed the mark with that half-pint CC IMHO.

Ordered on 10/30/04 GMC SLT D/A ext cab L/B with sunroof 4x4 carbon metallic/dk pewter leather. The dealer called last nite and said they are unloading as we speak :D will be taking her home today if the price is right, (starting to sound like a game show.)
If not have another on order due in anytime from another dealer ):h somebody will deal!

I just talked to the dealer and he said it will be built the week of the tenth and should be home first week in feb. The waiting is absolutely killing me. Howard I'll send you those numbers when I get them. I was so excited I forgot to ask.

I am looking to purchase a new 2005 Sierra SLT DRW 4x4 LB Crew Cab with the following options.

PDN - power package (diesel and allison etc)
DPF - power heated camper style mirrors
V10 - winter covers
Z82 - Heavy duty trailering equipment
UY2 - Trailer wiring provisions
SAF - spare tire lock

What does everyone think is a good price to pay for this truck. I have been looking around and just want to get a fair deal for myself. Any help would be appreciated.
