Something went wrong there.... 2WD 1 psig boost launch. Ppoor 60' spun until 1000' track announcer was laughing like hell.... I was trying to pedal like mad And the crowd loved the fishtailing display..... black smoke, white smoke... yuk

I Should have had traction bars for a 2wd launch i guess.

Full tank of fuel, toolbox and both GN and 5er hitchesm, i thought i had lots of ballast in the rear.... guess not:eek:

BUT I believe there was a timing error (smoked out the lights)

My truck is 4x4, but i did not have the SD tie rod sleeves so i was being really cautious on my front end.

I have turned 14.18@107 on a really easy 5psig launch (no sleeves either) but I have never lightened the truck.
one day i will do it... race on 1/4 tank of fuel, unload the toolbox, detail kit, luggage,hitches, remove spare and tailgate.... but to get to a lot of these events i have to travel some distance... so i find myself racing in 'all up weight' more often than not.

Timing error doesnt' explain the high mph.

best run to date has been a 13.39 at 104mph, this is with the aux tank and toolbox, gooseneck installed, have a few new tunes(websters garage) and a few more comming(tts and a few other custom tunes) hope to find better, as of now 155pp/jk170 seams to be the best, once at the dyno i will report the new tunes

Plug in the cheap Predator and watch her eyes light up. And the tires.
If you floor it from a stoplight, no boost, when it shifts into 2nd, it lights the tires. My guess is a 2WD with slicks will knock off a high 13 with no other changes on a boosted launch.

BMD MAX, Im so there (13s) next spring . I really think that with a tranny i will be in the 13s for sure . Tranny was slipping and cutting back when running the 14.14s . Maybe shed some weight off the ol pig , And the truck too. ha

Whether I run the big VA, a stack or the TTS my truck will weigh the same and hook as best a 2WD can. Which one of the above will run the fastest? The question is valid across all configurations so that was the purpose of this exercise. I'm not weighing up the competition because I already know I am slow compared to several other trucks out there.

TTS Xtreme = 13.24 @ 101 mph w BFG 285's. :p But I think it has a 12.9999999 in it in the next couple of weeks. So I voted in the 13 sec category.:mad:

My 60's are pretty bad because of too much torque and not enough traction:mad:

On the 12.80 it was 1.948:(
On the 12.94 it was 1.983-:t

I have cut a 1.790 playing with the throttle:) but then ran out of N2O halfway down the track and only did a 12.86 @ 105.43:rolleyes:

Average gain from the nitrous will shave 5 or 6 tenths off of that 13.7 time.

Just installed my Hot Juice w/ Attitude. Plenty of wheel spin at launch and 2nd. A lot of blowing dirt on the airport from the dirt crew. 16.3 and 90MPH Level 3. Full defuel on shifts. 5 on the boost. Skeered to run hotter w/o tranny upgrade...May try active runway tommorow! No loose dirt.
