Has anyone installed the Fumoto Valve on a 6.0L gasser? Reason I ask is I would like to buy one for someone for a X-mas present, but there are a lot of CAUTIONS listed on potential problems with installation of this valve on the 6.0L. All of the cautions are related to clearances and etc. Just don't want to give a gift like this and cause someone more headache then its worth.

If anyone has installed one let me know how it went.

I had one on my 2004 2500LD before I traded it...I pulled it off at the last oil change as I wasn't impressed with how slow it drained. I also did a test with it finish draining and then pulled the valve and extension (you need both the valve and a small extender as the hole is recessed on the 6.0) and was amazed how much more oil came out once I pulled it.

I won't even consider using it on my 8.1L as it takes too long to drain and I just wasn't that impressed. As far as cleanliness, yes, it made an oil change alot cleaner but I always wear a pair of latex gloves anyway so a little on my hand isn't a big deal anyway.
