Today on my way home Water in Fuel light came on, and off, and on, and off again, no rhyme or rhythm about it, on sometimes, flickered sometimes, and off most of the time.

1. Where is this sensor and how often does it malfunction?
2. What are recommended Fixes to this

I am due for a new fuel filter so I am going to change that tomorrow.

probably not a coincedence, but I fueled up at a different station (less traffic) than I normally due, due to my location. It was absolutely pouring that day aslo (1 inch of rain felll). I only put in $40, and the truck in front of me put in $270.00. I drove basically the entire tank without incedent (although it has been below freezing overnight temps, with highs in 40's) I am back on empty now, So I am going to open the T-valve up tomorrow and catch some of the diesel so I can see if I see water drops in it.

Is there an additive to add that mixes alcohol w/water so it will combust with the diesel, since I don't have much fuel in my tank?

I have owned the truck for almost 2 years, and never once even seen this light flicker.

Open your drain valve and check for water. If WIF flashing, then you must have gotten some water in the filter. (Its sloshing around)

You got some water in the fuel water seperator. Drain it.
