I'm getting some popping noises from the right-rear when I back up and turn or go over slight bumps. Driving down the road I hear nothing. I've even gone so far as to shake the back of the truck from side to side and can hear the popping coming from the leaf spring. Anybody else experience this?

Mine did the exact same thing. I located the noise to the spring pack and the dealership had a TSB on it and replaced the plastic isolators in the spring pack. I got it back and it still made the noise. Drove it for a while and it seems to have gone away. if it returns they will replace the spring packs.

Had a similar problem with a 01 2500. GM has available some rubber cap that is put over the ends of the lower leaf. Sort of like a big heavy rubber spring condom. Once installed problem was totally eliminated. Get it done while still in warranty.

Yea mine did that too. The tech was asking how much did I tow, He was thinking that I had weaken them by a heavy load but I that I had towed was 2 four wheelers and a bike one weekend. They claim to fix them, was pulling out of the dealer and it did it again turned around and got the tech to ride with me He heard it too and replaced the whole spring assembly. Problem gone.

It sounds like the isolator pad is breaking off. Went through 5-7 of em. Last ones I put on, I used grease on them. Longest I've gone with one breaking off.
