I'm pretty sure sp33d has an Extreme and injectors.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

does he run nitrous?

I am running the Extreme and JK 40% injectors. Still working on the nitrous tuning and getting enough fuel. I've seen 8,000psi rail pressure under WOT  I've only had the Extreme a month so I'm still tuning...

anything new to report about your 40 over injectors, pros and cons, hp difference with nitrous, thanks in advance

I wish I had more to report but I'm picking up an 05 tomorrow. Although the 02 LB7 will still be in the family I don't think I'll be tuning on it anymore :( I'll say you'll be in mid to high 600's/hp at least with extreme, injectors, and nitrous.

what will the 02 be doing in retirement?

We're trading my mom's 8.1L gas hog in on my new truck and she's taking the 02 "and a chip"

At least this way if the LLY isn't going to keep up with my power hungry appetite the LB7 will still be handy. :D

you might want to give her the lly and keep the power wagon to yourself):h , think she will go back after):h

Super Diesel is somehow dumping some mad horses to the ground with the TTS Extreme, propane and Nitrous. I'm sure we would have seen more than upper 600's with Sp33ds setup had he had the Nitrous bottle actually turned on!!! That sucked!! but really all the propane does for the most part is take the place of the larger injectors. After watching Michael's truck run more than once on the dyno I think I would rather have the Propane over the injectors just for the fact you can turn the pane off!. With injectors you'll lose out on fuel mileage and it quite a bit louder on the engine side. But for Tomac's uses it might be better to go with larger injectors if they limit the number of power adders you can use in truck pulls, ect....

I thought about it all night on the drive home as I was trying to pass people Censored I really was a tough decision and I'm glad it worked the way it did as I can trade back to the "power wagon" at any time if the LLY doesn't cut it. I have high hopes though...

I'll be ordering a tuner (or three) tomorrow, no matter what. There's now way I'll be able to handle this slow thing  Gotta get a few break in miles on it first.

I think the propane is better overall than injectors, at least on my cummins with 130 HP EDMs they smoke big time and you can't turn them off. Propane works good and I can turn it off. On these 8cylinder DMAXES the pane works even better than the six in the dodge. Plus I'm still a little iffy about these DMAX injectors as it is. JMO

If you have more air and want extra fuel for dragracing a set of honed nozzles weigh alot less than full 20-100# propane tank, lines, regulator, vaporizor, ect. For truckpuling propane is not allowed so honed nozzles must be used if you have more air and need more fuel.

I don't know alot about Dmax injectors, like how much they smoke, actual power gains or reliability. If I did I might try them, but for now I really don't get to the track much and have no problem beating just about anybody that wants to give it a shot on the road( if it's safe) with the extra weight of the propane. I drive my trucks alot in heavy and stop and go traffic, with the adjustability of the Dmax for smoke control I find myself driving alot more just for that purpose. My cummins goes real good, but it's a big time smoke show.

If the nozzles are done right on the Duramax you can have stock driveablility with more power without programming.

Hey tomac...sounds like your working on a big surprise for the dodge crowd this coming spring....don't know though just a guess?

That's what I'm waiting for, a proven injector for the Dmax. Don't get me wrong about the injectors in my cummins, I can turn off everything power related on the truck, stack, the bottle, propane, water/meth anything with a switch, my injectors are mach 3 EDMs, the hot version, 130 instead of 125, there made by Don M. and that truck will haul ass. But I'm still left with the same problem, well not a problem for me but my truck still smokes like freight train. I have a heavy foot and I can't help it. For racing or pulling that truck is a monster, but for my neighbors well you know what I mean. That's why I said for me right now the propane just works better.

The dodge guys have an advantage in the injector tuning/testing in the ease of R&R, I know they have made great gains with them and I gotta think that the third gen guys should be able to help the dmax crowd in this area. Injectors are all but identical. If it was not for the time consuming replacement, testing would be easier for us.
