I have Banks gauges that I ordered with my six gun and the backlight (bulb) burnt out of the EGT gauge. I was wondering if anyone knows if the bulb can be replaced. If so do you know if it can be replaced with an led or colored bulb? If not do you happen to know a part number or bulb size. I know I need to fill out my sig but I have a 05 ccsb duramax.

Dunno on part# but many aftermkt gauges use the same size bulb and many come with colored silicone "boot" to change colors. I've got a six-gun also with boost and pyro gauges and used grreen for the boost and red for the pyro.Pull the gauge and the bulb is stuck in the back side.

I am going to pull it apart one of these days and take a look at it. Would radio shack be the place to look for a bulb?

banks bulbs are different. they use a twist style bulb kinda like an 1157 but w/ one prong on the bottom and the bulb itself is kinda big. much bigger than an auto meter. the only # i found on the bulb is 53.

53s are what my dynafact gauges use. also, i used a blue silicon boot on the bulb, and it looks almost exactly as the factory illumination color.

Where did you get the silicon boot? I think I can get the buld at Radio shack so I am going to try there.

you can pick them both up at auto zone, or any other parts house.

It was really easy to do and it was nice to be able to get the parts before i did the job thanks to you guys. Thanks agian.
