just wondering if anyone with with no muffler and cat have the same sound as 6.0 fords (real loud whistle) ?????? thanks

Mine has a straight pipe and it does not whistle near as loud as my cousins ford 6.0

I have the Dynomax kit on my truck and it whistles from idle all the way up through the r's. It could be mistaken by a jet aircraft sometimes.

my LLY does the same thing i got no cat and 5" all the way back and it whisles like a jet engion also

Mine has the jet engine sound....pretty darn cool if ya ask me. I had my women drive it around for me when it was warmed up in juice 5 and p. pup 2 and it was loud and had an awesome note to it!

I've heard a 6.0 with stacks and that sounded like I was standing next to a jet engine almost.

but i found a cheep duel exhaust for my truck. i was thinking if i just go and straight pipe it wont it sound like any other stright piped duel exhaust d-max?
also how loud is a straight piped d-max? is it pull me over loud or dont mess with me loud?
also it would be cool as all hell if my truck souned like a jet engine.

I have an 05 2500 2wd 4" off the turbo straight back and exits out infront of the rear tire. The only truck that even comes close to mine in sound is the 03 powerstroke motors.

Are you going to go to a muffler shop and have them just go from the Cat straight out with 4" or 5"? I was thinking of doing that? And also having mine dump in front of the rear wheel. Any thoughts from anybody on how that will sound? I don't want to remove my Cat with it being a Ca. truck.

while at the dealer today I had the chance to hear two different year models and two different types of exhaust. The 05 had straight pipe and was actually very quiet, mine is an 04.5 with full exhaust and muffler and was a bit deeper sounding than the 05. Both were very quiet just one deeper sounding, but both triggered the EGR codes into the computer.

i was thinking of getting turbo back system and eliminating the muffler that comes with it just in case

I put a 4" Turbo Back with dual exit behind the rear wheels on my 04.5. It's just not quite as loud as i wanted. You can really hear the turbo singin but at an idle all you can hear is the air coming out the tips (no deep sound at all at an idle). I really like the sound of my dads lb7 with straight pipe and factory 3.5" single exit out the back. If i took the muffler off of my new 4" duals, would it sound similar?
