Hi all. The other day going through the pasture I somehow managed to rip a transmission line in half. Don't ask me how because I don't know. I noticed the trans temp going up so I shut the engine down. Is it possible to somehow cap the transmission where the cooler lines emerge and still start the engine to get it on the trailer? Its still sitting in the pasture, I just need it to run long enough to get on the trailer. I'll of course top it off with ATF before hand.

Yes you can cap it for a very short period of time to only move it around. The fluid coming out of the Alli goes straight to radiator, then to cooler, and then back into the Alli as lubrication for the geartrain. Prolonged driving without cooler fluid return WILL burn up the gears, so keep that in mind.

I need it to run for about 2-3 min. tops.
