Here in Colorado Springs, Colorado I'm still paying $1.55 at the station I purchase. Price hasn't changed in past two months. Have seen it as low as $1.46 at the local grocery store if you have their card.

I have seen $1.49 to $1.54 here is Anchorage, Alaska. Soon the gas mileage will start going down when they start adding their additives to the fuel to prevent it from freezing... Then the prices will start rising again. I normally get around 19 mpg but in the winter I get around 13 mpg. I figure it is either the additives or the 10 minute warm up time it takes each morning before I get in it. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

Premium diesel is usually diesel with additives added, more cetane, etc. that improve the fuel quality. Your right, I haven't seen any here in Oregon either ... I do know some of the Pacific Pride stations in southern Oregon carry it.

Good to see another Oregonian member!

I get the premium diesel at a Phillips 66 station. There isn't a cetane sticker on the pump, it just says premium diesel (Power Service). My fuel mileage seems to be better using it than with the regular (16 mpg vs. 14.8 mpg) and it's only 4 cents difference.

Minn-Kota, welcome to our screwed up market. Unless it's changed haulers are paid by a predetermined rate based on mileage from the terminal/refinery. When I hauled to Stupid Americas all of the product came out of one refinery (Ashland in Newport) but gas/diesel has always been cheaper in the NW metro even though it's further away. I've noticed diesel is even worse. Fleet Farm in Oakdale has Artic Diesel for $1.49 today but SA and Fina in town are at $1.69. Guess where I fill up.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Approve.gif

I will say the Fleet Farm with Arctic Diesel has a big sign on top of the pump talking about the benefits of the product and gives you the website to go to. They advertise 45 cetane on the web site and good to -30F.Edited by: Jeli
