A guy I work with just gave me his hypertech programmer for his LB7, he wont be needing it for the next 7 to 10 years. I havent a clue if its unlocked. I was wondering if I could send this unit back to hypertech and have it upgraded to operate with my LBZ? Anyone know?

I don't think so. A call to Hypertech will tell you if you can! You may be better off buying a used Hypertech for your LBZ, if that is what your looking for.

You will need to call the tech line to find out if the programer is upgradeable make sure you have your VIN and the serial number when you call. The number is (901) 382-8888 Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm CST.

That wont do you any good...if YOU aren't the original buyer of the programmer, hypertec will charge you $250.00 to reprogram it so you can use it on your truck...You are far better off to buy a NEW one, if hypertech is what you want!!
