I sure hope they put it in the Tahoe or the Yukon. I would love it in the shorter wheel base:D Make a nice vehicle to go with the Crew Cab Dually.

2010 model year will pry yield a new duramax but I dont know what changes theyll make to it. To my knowledge this new 4.5 and the cummins 6.7 are the only diesels right now 2010 emission compliant, dotn knwo what theyll do to the 6.4 ford and 6.6 d max to make them complant but should be interesting

6.6 is already close to compliance. They will probably end up teaking the EGR system and changing the soot trap to make it work.

Or decompressing it even more and going to a larger displacement motor..
Just a guess ;)

Maybe Ford will just have Nav bring back the 7.3L.... Oh, that makes sense... Nevermind...

the ford/Nav won't happen since they are still battling the lawsuit between them. My brother in law works for AVL and apparently he's testing a diesel engine composed of AVL and ford parts.
I did read something that said there were not many changes they needed to make to the 6.6 in order to make it 2010 compliant. Dodge is the only one that had to go to a bigger displacement to meet that.

I have a friend who used to work for Ford, apparently Ford is working on an actual Ford only designed diesel and it sounds like a good design, far better than the 6.4L TTD and the nightmarish 6.0L diesel.
It was a 7L a few years ago, not sure what it is now.

I suspect GM will have to do the urea thing to the 6.6 to make it compliant, if the 4.5 comes out in 2010 it will have it. I would like to see it out in 2009 WITHOUT the urea BS. JMHO.

I'm almost positive the Chevy 07-08 LMM is 2010 compliant. I thought the new 08 6.4 Ford was to.
