: 6.4 powerstroke
witmer 11-06-2007, 06:21 PM All you guys that have a Lmm can be glad you don't have a 6.4 powerstroke. Go to www.thedieselstop.com (http://www.thedieselstop.com) and read about all the strugles, blown turbos, leaking rads, bad computers, voided waranty, bad engine..... The new 6.4 seems to be no better than the 6.0. Thought the duramax lover might like this:D

I thought it was going to be a winner for Ford. But, time will tell.
BlackHawkTDI 11-10-2007, 01:57 AM at $60,000 a pop, you would think you would get your money's worth out of it:o:

I agree, I think someone might have put that rear end together on a friday.
06ram610 11-10-2007, 08:34 PM if you think your chevy dealer would be any different, your blowing smoke up your own backside. My buddy just bought a 2500hd and he put 265 tires on it, when he took it back to the dealership to get his speedo, recalibrated...they told him those tires would void his warranty. And I'm not saying that dodge wouldn't do the same thing....just don't think your precious chevy warranty won't get voided. Plus read the forum...he also had a gearvendor overdrive on it as well.

It depends on the dealer. Mine "tried" to reprogram the computer for 265's, but they didn't get it right. They are also OK with a tuner as long as I don't go more than 100 hp.
06ram610 11-10-2007, 09:17 PM Your dealer might be, but if you have a major failure chevy will get involved and it will get voided....

Not really. It depends on management and your relationship with them. The owner, manager, sales manager, and parts manager of my small dealership are all diesel enthusiasts. Every year the owner tricks out his new DMax, including a tune. The parts guy is waiting to mod his 07 classic and they're all anxious, including the service guys, to see my twins when they get installed. The manager has an '08 and he chipped it first thing. He knows what I'm running and told me "if the tranny gets fried, remove the Edge before you bring it in for warranty." Several other dealers in the area sell/install Edge and warranty trucks with them .
