I have a bugshield on my hood and up around 50 mph or so it sounds like there is rain hitting the windshield. My friend has an 03 his does it now too since he put a bugshield on it. My dad put one on his 04 1500 and it does it now too. My boss just bought one for his 06, I told him it would likely do it too and it did. So does anyone know anyway to fix the noise the bugshield makes? It kinda sounds like its coming from the passenger side pillar but it does go away with the bugshield off. Any ideas?

rubber strip at the sides of glass needs to have 2way tape installed under the rubber strip.

the bug shield has changed the air flow over the cab of the truck.

go to your local parts supply house and look for this tape.

Usually around door moldings sections.

I used clear silicone on my 01. I need to do it to my 04 as well.

The good gray 3m double sided tape works. The molding is what u here.

is the windshield or the side glass molding?

it is the weather stripping on the sides of the windsheild

On my last truck, as soon as I installed my bug shield, it made that noise. I found that the air was hitting exactly at the rubber strip at the top of the windshield lifting it, and causing that crackly noise. Silicon that all the way across and let it sit.............it will go away. I notice on my '08, they changed the design of that...........don't have that problem now.
