I have never had this before and want to make sure this is not something to be concerned about.
I started my truck this morning and all was fine. I had it plugged in last night so it started fairly quick. It turns over about 5 times before start.
After dropping off my son at school I noticed that it was idleing rough. Enough to shake the truck.
It did this everytime I stopped. I got to work (about 24 miles away) and turned it off. I restarted and it ran at high idle for a minute or so. (900-1000 rpms) Then it settled back to the normal 700 rpms. The truck still shook at idle. The Guyages would read ok after the truck idled down but the Voltage guage would read a lttle under 14 while it was idleing high.
Oil psi was 30 at idle and 60 at speed. 65-70 mph.
Voltage was fine at 14.
Temp around 190
Tranny temp was a little warm for this ride at 150. Normally it does not get quite that hot.
I also noticed that even after running today and the engine at temp the wait to start light would come on and stay on longer than usual when I would go to restart.
Any suggestions?
I did replace the fuel filter on Sunday with 10K on it. First on I let go that long. The rest have been changed at 5-7K.
