I have a lb7 truck. I have the overdrive lock out mod on the truck. I am installing the edge/*** this weekend (125 hp). Question: will the trans handle the extra power better by keeping it out of overdrive? Will it handle the extra power better by running it it tow/haul ( torque conv locked up more)? Has anyone did any testing on slippage with the dino fluid in the tranny verses the transynd or amsoil, better or worse?? thanks for the help.

regular amsoil has been rumored to make it worse, thier "torque drive" is supposed to be better. I persoannly had no problems on dino or now running mobil 1. Yes keeping outa OD will help. TH or non TH will make 0 difference at WOT. I would run in the 90 hp level max unloaded if you dont have any desire to upgrade the trans.
