I've got a completely stock 2002 lbz and it's been running like it's not get anykind of boost. I first thought that the turbo was shot and needed to be replaced but i put in a boost gauge to find out i'm getting the right pressure out the turbo. big relief. so next i figured the wastegate actuator was stuck or something, but after testing it out that seemed to work fine too. So that kinda leaves me with the waste gate. it moves freely without the actuator attached but i'm worried it moves too freely. i've heard about wastegate springs and sping tension, and i don't seem to have it. could that be my problem??

What do you mean by no boost? How did you check the boost, with a scan tool? Did you check the fuel filter, maybe that is the problem. If the turbocharger wastegate is stuck open you will get no boost pressure at all. Good luck -hoop

I have a brand new stock waste gate that was on my turbo for a few days and it hit 30 lbs with the right tune ! PM if interested.

sorry, 2002 LB7. i hookeed up a boost gauge and tapped it into the boost line that feeds the actuator. i changed the fuel filter about a month ago. the gauge reads i'm making the right amount of boost, it just drives like the boost isn't making it all the way into the motor.
