I'd go with the Pioneer. That's what I'm looking at or the Eclipse 5500. A buddy has one and loves it. The 205 can use the Blackbird nav, but it's about $500 to $600 extra. The D3 is the same price and includes nav. Your best bet is to go to a local shop and try out each one of them before making a decision. We could argue about Kenwood/Alpine/Pioneer being better than each, but no matter what, you have to be happy with it. All 3 products are great. I've always been an Alpine nut but made the switch to the D3 because it just had more features than the Alpine. I haven't liked Kenwood lately because of the direction their equipment is going. The in-dash head units are too space-age... Mad Maxx 11-14-2007, 10:55 PM With the 2 given products you are looking at, I'd go with the D3. I've owned Clarion & Pioneer screens, and the Clarions were just too plain for me, and for ease of use, Pioneer hands down. BUT!!.....Ever since I used Alpine, I will never use another brand again. I currently got the W205 in my truck and LOVE it. The IPod Full Speed is awesome, and navigating through the menu's is very easy. Twister773 11-14-2007, 11:52 PM i was in the same boat as you about 2 weeks ago...ended up going with the Alpine just because the quality and functions are great and then if i ever want nav i can get the blackbird...and i saw the d3 after i had already installed mine in a kodiak and all i can say is man it looked small. get the w205...for under 650 you cant beat it THE TECH 11-15-2007, 10:45 AM I just put the W205 in mine.
