I have a 1996 6.5 TD 2500 4 X 4

Will putting a 4 or 6 inch lift with 33 or 35 inch tires greatly affect my towing ability? I will be towing a 31' camper. Dry weight is 4900#s. I will only tow it maybe 3 times a year.

Does anybody hear have a lift on their truck and tow with it?

4 inch rancho kit and 35" pro comps here, no problems at all towing, if bumper pull just have to re adjust height of hitch/equalizer assy. Taller tires will take a bit of power away, but with 8.1 doesn't seem to matter. Also pull gooseneck horse trailer with no probs there either. I don't envy you putting lift on that truck, most kits for that year drop both upper and lower control arms, LOTS of brackets

I had a six inch RCD lift on my old gas 6.0. Towed great. Would just lay down on hills, due to the bigger tires. I was running 35x14.50 16.5. Thornbirds

I was thinking of this kit. Doesn't seem too bad. Anyone have any experience with this kit?
