: Good Price for a '06 LBZ???
Grit dog 11-05-2007, 09:38 AM I am looking at a used '06 GMC, LBZ, CC/SB, 4x4, loaded, leather, Bose stereo, 26k mi, excellent condition, stock.
Would like some feedback on what's a good price, private party sale.
No issues w/ my '02, just considering trading up a few years. Tow mirrors, 6sp Alli, and lack of future injector problems are desirable to me, not to mention 50k less miles than what I have now.
The seller is asking $34k. For me it would be worth trading up if I could get it for $30k.
Thanks

GMC2500HD 11-05-2007, 11:05 AM That might be a little high for that truck. Is it located in NM?
tmcran 11-05-2007, 12:56 PM I got a new O7 Classic in Feb. O7. LT3 package. All the trimings you listed above. With rebates and discounts price before trade-in and etc. was 38750.00.
dirtavg 11-05-2007, 03:00 PM I go t a 07 completly loaded 40k miles with a 55gal transfer flow fuel tank and 22k fifth wheel for 32,000.
slopoke 11-05-2007, 03:24 PM got my 06 LBZ with the LT3 package, perfect inside and out for 32,500 so there should be a little wiggle room. the 6 speed is wonderful!!

What?
jwen3 11-05-2007, 08:45 PM I think the price may be $1500-2000 too much. If you could get it for $32000, I think you'd be alright.
Just Scott 11-06-2007, 07:36 AM I just picked up an '06 GMC DMax/Allison CC/SB SLE2 (cloth seats, but lots of other stuff) 2WD with 44k for $21,000
The truck is in great shape - owned by a retired pastor who doesn't want to camp anymore. I think I did OK on this, maybe even a little better than OK ; )
h2oskibumz 11-06-2007, 09:12 AM Sounds like you may have some repenting to do... stealing from a preacher!!!
Seriously though, sounds like a great deal to me... 2500 or 3500?
I know I have considerably (OK, a bit) more than that in my 3500 and its an OH FOUR model vs your '06. I only bought it 6 months ago.
Grit dog 11-06-2007, 11:27 AM Thanks for the responses.
Sounds about like what I thought. $32k, not a bad deal, $30k good deal.
h2oskibumz 11-06-2007, 05:20 PM With reference to my earlier post...
I hope that its obvious that I was replying to Just Scott on his $21k '06. Even I (the total newbie to diesel pickups) am not stupid enough to have over $30k in an '04 w/ 72k miles... but I DO have more than $21k in the thing... Scott, repent while there is time... j/k...
As for the original topic... I'm w/ the other folks... if you can get it down closer to $30k its not bad... I think much over $30k gets you into a pretty average deal.
Grit dog 11-07-2007, 02:49 PM Nice avatar h20skibumz! I miss skiing and boarding already and I've only had the boat put up for a month now.

Thanks! Grit dog. My friend (and now business partner) took that shot a couple of years ago up where we ski. I'm glad it was backlit, I love those sunset pictures... Plus it makes it so you don't notice how late I am coming off the bouy!! So late that the bouy is cropped OUT of the avitar version... Oh, well it LOOKED cool.
I just went and pulled the drain plugs out of my old Malibu on Monday... its frozen here a couple nights this week. I haven't put Sta-bil or anything in the fuel yet as I'm hoping for another trip or twol, or at least a fall colors boat ride... don't know if I'll try to ski again or not...
