My new white 05 is getting black dust on the sides. Is this from the brakes or from the exhuast and does it go away ?

It is from the exhaust, and all you have to do to make it go away is wash it. Maybe if you didn't have such a heavy right foot, then this wouldn't be a problem.):h

Both sides? Front to rear? Or just rear? We need a little more details please.

Both sides front to rear, I was thinking it was the new brake pad's. I had been mostly cruising with 280 miles.

I get the same thing, its just dust accumulating and when the dew/water on your car drips, down, it pulls some dust, and adhere's any additional dust in the air while driving.

I live in the desert, this is more of a pure black dust. Which is why I was thinking it was off the brakes. Maybe after a good wax it won't kling as bad.
