Question for any techs out there that have replaced a failed DMF on the ZF-6. Do you replace the clutch and pressure plate when installing the new flywheel? The reason I ask is that I think my dealer is trying to screw me. On my first DMF replacement, they replaced the clutch, pressure plate, and release bearing. The second time around they replace the DMF only and the clutch hasn't acted right since. Now I'm going in again for another DMF that has failed. I want to make sure I get a new clutch and pressure plate also. It seems to me that once a clutch has been mated to a flywheel that if the flywheel gets replaced a new clutch should be installed. Not to try to get a used clutch to seat properly with a new flywheel. Any info will be appreciated.

GM wont likely replace it unless it was damaged from the DMF. Clutch is considered a wear item and warranty seldom covers them

Thanks dmaxalliTech. That's what i figured. Oh well, new flywheel but still slipping clutch bound. Seems to me that's kinda the same as going in for an oil change and they only change the filter. No better off than you were when you started. They put a bandaid on a broken arm to get you past warranty. Then let you pay to fix the problem.
