Have a 04 and just went over 100,000 miles. Heard they extended injector coverage to 200,000 miles. Have not got any letter and heard it only covers up to 2003 models. Is there extended coverage and does 04's have same problems?

No extended warranty past 100k for '04 LB7's and yes they have the same problems.

Yes, 04s are covered under the same special policy as earlier model have been - but that isn't complete coverage - only some failure modes are covered - ones that cause high return rates.

I got the letter too.
My truck has just recently started smoking at idle, and mileage is erratic.

I have 92k on my truck and have had the injectors replaced 3X! I bought my truck new in August of 03 and it is covered for 200k. The problem is that warranty stops at 7 yrs which I will hit in less than 3 years. Then what??

Has anyone checked into the lemon law on this? I won a case against Honda on a car they couldn't fix after the 3rd time but the car was much newer. My first set of injectors was at 36k which stops the mileage for lemon law at that point.

I just got my letter today. I have already had the injectors replaced 1 time before. And now it is really making noise like heavy injector noises, I will have to take it in again and have it checked.

Do they have a new style injector that they are using now? Any word on what is causing the issue and why some trucks have more trouble than others? Is it the injector controler ( whatever it is called)?
