I went through the grease, steering column, then finally the bearing to solve my steering rattle. That was almost a year ago.
I am now "feeling" a rattle if that makes any sense. When they finally fixed the rattle the steering was tight. What I now feel on turns, especially right turns, is a "clunk, thunk" rattle. Do not hear it, but feel it in the steering column, and in the floor. Once I straighten out it goes away.
It is almost as if the whole steering chain - column, shaft, box, link arms, and pivot points are loose.
Have you heard of anyone else experiencing this or am I nuts.
I appreciate your answers to ALL the questions people ask, very educating.
Thanks
Lyle
