I currently have an 06 and it has the infamous steering shaft clunk and am wondering if it has been fixed or changed on the new trucks.

Posting a reply so it will move back to the front of the list. Does anybody know?

The new body style trucks are built on the old GMT-800 chassis, so as far as I know, the intermediate shaft is the same "clunking" one.

I might be wrong tho...

I think mine just started it.....I was looking on the website for an answer if the 07.5+ did it too!

I've got about 3500 miles on my LMM. It just started clunking very slightly at about 3200 miles. I'm baffled every time there's an issue that should have been resolved with a new body style.

I put the 2in. exhaust clamp on five months ago and still no clunk.
