ive posted on here before. But i just cant figure out what is going on.


Truck is acting weird after driving for a while.

Feels like i loose all power. Truck will still drive and everything. But if i stomp on it the truck does not take off. It just goes at a leisure pace. And if i stomp on the throttle the truck does not take off. It just downshifts and doesnt accelerate like it should.


Any help or ideas would be of help.

Fuel filter or lift pump.

Low boost? Could be caused by failed vacuum pump, or failed wastegate solenoid. Could also be PMD failing. Not enough info.

How long since your last fuel filter change? I would check that & do the lift pump test, but I would be surprised if a bad lift pump would cause this problem.

has a mechanical wastegate. changed my fuel filter April 07. truck seems like it looses boost when this happens.


If i shut the truck and let it sit and restart it. The truck runs fine for a little and does this again.

It only really happens when driving for a while.

Replace your air filter.

Sock in tank plugging? or fuel filter. Tee in a gauge to check fuel pressure. A boost gauge would check for... well, boost. Recommend EGT and Trans temp too.

fuel line pinched or sock plugged....not getting enoug fuel to the IP...
