I just put syntethic oil in my DMax this weekend 20,000 on a 2004.5 I've noticed that at well over 2500 rpms or 85 mph the injector clatter is gone---almost non existant. I don't understand how that can be if the design and location is suppose to be the root of the sound, meaning it's not suppose to be mechanical like valves etc. can one of you super tech's please explain this to me?
Thank you in advance, Jumper 357

oil will have no effect on injectors.. you may have other issues.. the noise is from the pilot injection shutting off

Hi DmaxalliTech,<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I know what the noise is from; I thought it odd it went away with different oil. The performance is fine, fuel mileage is fine, in-fact everything is fine...just quieter.

What could possibly be wrong that you say could be other problems?
