I'd appreciate any help or instructions on making pump adjustments on my 95' Dodge turbo diesel, as far as making it put out more smoke. I've heard there's a "star wheel" in the back of the pump for this, but i'm not too familiar with how to go about doing this. Thanks for the help.
On top of your injection pump there will be a fairly big allen head plug remove this and rotate the star wheel towards the motor until you can't turn it anymore and replace the plug and then there are four bolts that hold down the afc housing loosen them up and slide the afc housing full forward towards the radiator and retighten the bolts. The list goes on and on have fun!!!):h

There are more adjustments, you can raise your governor to 3800 rpm. But I don't know exactly how the procedure is done. I had mine done years ago before they came out with after market kits.
